Ian Knopke: Biographical DetailsIan Knopke received a PhD in Music and Computer Science at McGill University. He has also undertaken research at Indiana University and Goldsmiths College in the areas of machine learning and signal processing in music and audio. He joined to the BBC in 2009 to work on metadata, search and recommendation problems. He has over 30 professional publications, and, independently of the BBC, is one of the investigators on the ELVIS `digging into data` grant on pattern discovery and interpretation of vertical interval patterns in large corpuses of symbolic music.
