Peter Lane: Biographical Details

Peter Lane is a Senior Lecturer in Computer Science at the University of Hertfordshire, and a Member of the British Computer Society. He has a PhD in Computer Science, and has published over 50 articles and papers, mostly in the area of machine learning. He has taught data-mining techniques for 10 years at the under- and post-graduate level, and supervised several MSc and PhD students in machine learning.

He was recently the lead academic on a Knowledge Transfer Project on the commercial application of machine-learning techniques to mining social media. Apart from research in machine learning, he also develops the CHREST cognitive architecture, which models human learning and memory.
