Zunnoor Tarique and Judy Bayer: Biographical Details

Dr. Zunnoor Tarique is the Programme Director for SNA as part of the Teradata International Data Science team. Focus of his work is on predictive and social analytics, and delivering ROI through analytics. He has delivered a number projects for the telecom and retail industries, including churn prediction, segmentation, affinity analysis, pricing, social network analysis, etc. Dr. Tarique is a Rhodes Scholar and has a doctorate in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford.

Dr. Judy Bayer is Director of Strategic Analytics for Teradata.  She has lead and participated in advanced analytics with companies and in academia for over 25 years. She currently works with customers and develops new IP in the area of advanced analytics across industries. With years of experience in modelling data for business understanding, insight and change, she derives her experience from cross continental exposure, customers and experience. Her specialty is in using advanced analytics solutions to help companies strategically and tactically leverage the information in the data warehouse to make their businesses more profitable. Previously, Dr. Bayer taught marketing and modelling at the MBA, Ph.D., and undergraduate levels at Carnegie Mellon University and New York University, and was Vice President of Advanced Technologies at a Business Intelligence consulting firm. Her expertise includes marketing research, business and market modelling, data mining, and knowledge-based systems for managing information intensive environments.  Judy has worked with leading companies in telecommunications, banking, retail, packaged goods, computer, insurance, and defense contractor industries. Judy has been awarded four US Patents for her work in automating in-database analytic processes, with several more patents pending. Dr. Bayer’s research on marketing and knowledge-based systems has been widely cited in books and articles on marketing management and advanced marketing information systems.  She has authored or co-authored more than 50 professional journal publications, white papers and technical reports.  She has recently been named to the Editorial board of the Journal of Marketing Analytics, launching in 2013.
